5 weeks, outdoor photos

Beautiful sunny days mean there are some puppies here enjoying the adventurous outdoors! At 5 weeks most of them are not so adventurous, actually, and stay near the "pack" or near Mom. Most of them :-)
We've put on the extension to their whelping box, and the extra space is helping a lot with the potty training. Their personalities are starting to show and we're seeing their differences become more apparent!

4 weeks and counting!

They had their first bites of solid food, and needless to say it was a hit! 7 little puppies huddled around a food dish with tails wagging is quite cute! Lily doesn't mind that weaning has begun, and is ever the attentive mother, often preferring to visit from outside the door of the whelping box. Potty training is in progress -- they're catching on quick but their aim needs improvement! The playtime is growing longer, nap time only slightly shorter, and the biggest step this week is sleeping through the night! (We are very excited about that one :-)

They've gone from newborns to toddlers! They are steady on their feet but not yet running, playing with each other, wrestling, trying to growl, but still needing lots of mommy time and many many naps!
