4 weeks and enjoying the summer sun!

The puppies are loving their time outdoors! Getting more energetic and adventurous each day, their time outside is always followed by a deep long nap, until they say it's time to eat and go back out again! All their baby teeth have come in, and they've started on some solid food. Weaning will gradually take place over the next few weeks. With those teeth has also come... chewing! We try to keep them on their toys so they're not chewing on their sibling's ear or tail :-). 

3 week burst

Little personalities are starting to burst out, along with the burst of color of their new collars. They are awake longer stretches in the day and have begun playing with each other. They are almost sleeping through the night, so Lily is looking more rested and enjoys sleeping on her dog bed instead of in the whelping box! The puppies nurse less frequently, but Lily still likes to poke her head in and check on them regularly, as you can see here :-)

2 weeks and walking

Eyes are open and wobbly steps are gradually becoming more steady. The puppies had their first visitors this week, and had no problem snuggling in to sleep in their arms!

Who needs a headrest when there’s always a sister around

First week is in the books!

Eat, sleep, snuggle, repeat. At this age a "day in the life" of these puppies isn't too remarkable, OTHER than the fact that they've all nearly doubled their birth weight! The eat-sleep-eat-sleep plan seems to be working :-)

Their scoot has turned into an army crawl, and in the next few days we're expecting their eyes to open. Now what you're looking for: photos!
